Now Open: Z Hostel in Makati, The First Luxury Hostel in Manila and the Biggest Yet
A hostel stay in the metro doesn't have to mean sacrificing in amenities and comfort. For smart travelers, Z Hostel is something worth checking out (and checking into). With 30 rooms and 128 beds, this new Makati accommodation is considered the biggest and only luxury hostel in the Philippines.
Z Hostel translates communal living into a modern and friendly experience. Many solo travelers and avid backpackers choose to stay in hostels for two main reasons: they are budget-friendly, and usually run by (and accomodated by) sociable folk. It's a place where one can have casual, communal hangouts with fellow guests that indulge in their wanderlust, rather than a standard hotel's more formal, keep-to-yourself atmosphere.
Z offers dorm-style air-conditioned rooms for their guests, and en-suite bathrooms in all of their rooms that have hot and cold water in the showers. All bunk beds have reading lights, and each guest has a spacious individual locker, equipped with an electrical outlet for gadgets and charging.
For security, Z Hostel is equipped with CCTV and doors and lockers are opened with keycards. Common areas where you can mingle with other guests are their two roofdecks, a reading lounge, a game room, a bar/cafe, and a restaurant. Breakfast is free when you stay at Z, and there is free wifi in the entire building.
Z Hostel is located at 5660 Don Pedro Street in Makati, a prime spot that is walking distance to bars and restaurants, and less than a kilometer away from Century City Mall and Power Plant Mall. For their introductory rates, they offer a stay as low as $22/night (Approx P990) at their Mixed Dorm room that accommodates 8 persons.
